the Story Behind
Before moving to Alaska, I began baking cakes for friends and family, which eventually led me to launch my own business, Betty's Sweets, three years ago. With my background in art from Robert Gordon University in Scotland, my cake decorations showcase a strong appreciation for vibrant color and design. Over the years, I've cultivated a passion for creating custom pieces of edible art. Currently based in South Anchorage, I pour my heart and soul into every cake I make at Sweet Betty's. I'm dedicated to continue my journey of creating and baking delicious treats! Thank you for supporting my small biz!
How I create my cakes~
My specialty lies in hand piped flower buttercream cakes. While I prefer to avoid fondant, I sometimes use a bit for small decorations. My goal is to design a creation that delights my clients. Each element on the cake, from the macarons to the flowers, is made from scratch in my kitchen.

Please note that cake orders require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice, while cupcakes (a dozen minimum) need to be ordered at least a week in advance. For cupcakes at Sweet Betty's, choose one flavor per dozen. Flavors, fillings, and frostings are limited to a few choices because my focus at Betty's Sweets is on cake decoration. My goal is to create cakes that highlight the true flavors without overpowering them with unnecessary sweetness. I do NOT offer gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, or any other dietary restrictions.
